P2010, R100, R100A, and R100B Range CD Recovery

1. Insert the first recovery CD and restart the notebook.

2. Hold down the C key and the CD will load to the screen above.

3. Press 1 to begin the recovery.

4. You will be warned that all data will be lost. Press 1 to continue or 2 to Cancel.

5. The recovery image will now be copied. Change the CD when prompted and press Enter.

6. The process takes approximately 20 minutes. Once complete the user is prompted to remove the CD and press CTRL, ALT and DEL to restart.

M300 Range Recovery from Harddrive

1. Switch off your PC.

2. While holding down the 0 (zero) key on the keyboard, switch on the PC.

3. The screen below will be displayed.

4. Press 1 to begin the recovery

5. You will be warned that all data will be lost. Press 1 to continue or 2 to Cancel:

6. You will be warned again about data loss. Press 1 to continue or 2 to Cancel:

7. The PC will reboot and begin the recovery process.

8. Recovery takes approximately 15 minutes. Once complete you will be prompted to press any key to restart the PC.

M300 Range CD/DVD Recovery

1. To recover your PC to factory settings using the recovery disks follow these instructions:

2. Insert the Recovery DVD, or first Recovery CD and switch off your PC.

3. While holding down the C key on the keyboard, switch on the PC.

4. The screen below will be displayed.

5. Press 1 to begin the recovery

6. You will be warned that all data will be lost. Press 1 to continue or 2 to Cancel:

7. The PC will reboot twice to begin the recovery process and then display the following screen.

8. Please note: this screen will continue to show for about 10 minutes.

9. The PC will reboot again and begin the recovery process.

10. If you are using recovery CDs you will be prompted for the 2nd and 3rd CDs when required:

11. Recovery takes about 15 minutes. Once complete you will be prompted to press any key to restart the PC.
