HP system recoveries, system restores, system remasters, or what is commonly known as system reinstalls of OEM computers that have Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP , Windows Vista and Windows 7 pre-installed on them at the factory.

You have two options for the system recovery, with or without format. Use without first minor corruptions, but if it fails use the format option.

1 - RECOVERY WITHOUT FORMAT

Place your recovery disc one into the top drive.

Restart or start up your computer.

The "RECOVERY" screen will appear. Press the "SPACE BAR" to continue.

Now a "WARNING" screen will appear. Read this and if you agree click "OK" to continue.

Now Click on "RECOVER" to continue.

Now click on "RECOVER ONLY". Your system will be NOT be erased, so leaving all your saved work. Although programs added by you may need reinstalled.

A windows shall appear click on "YES" to continue.

Eventually you will be asked for "DISK 2", when prompted insert "DISK 2"

When finished a screen will appear stating the Recovery is complete, click on "OK" to continue

2 - FORMAT AND RECOVERY

Place your recovery disc one into the top drive.

Restart or start up your computer.

The "RECOVERY" screen will appear. Press the "SPACE BAR" to continue.

Now a "WARNING" screen will appear. Read this and if you agree click "OK" to continue.

Now Click on "RECOVER" to continue.

Now click on "FORMAT & RECOVER". Your system will be erased and  restored back to the day you bought it. Make sure you are sure you have backed up.

A windows shall appear click on "YES" to continue.

Eventually you will be asked for "DISK 2", when prompted insert "DISK 2"

When finished a screen will appear stating the Recovery is complete, click on "OK" to continue.
