Acer Windows 8 Recovery

If you can get to login screen you can do the following to refresh or reset Windows 8. If not see guide below.

  1. Press and hold the shift key

  2. Now click the power button (bottom right) and click restart

  3. you will now be at the WinRE menu

  4. Click troubleshoot

  5. Select refresh (keep data) or reset (loose data)

  6. This can take some time so be patient

  7. Hopefully you can now access Windows.

Use the following steps to start the system recovery:

  1. Restart or turn on computer

  2. Whan Acer logo appears, press ALT and F10

  3. Select your restore type

  4. Read notice and click next

  5. Click next again to begin

  6. Factory image rstore can take up to an hour

  7. Done
